An improvised explosive device exploded Friday on one of Sharqia governorate's railways with no casualties reported, Al Masry Al Youm News reported. Bomb disposal experts intensified their presence in the blast scene to scan the area for other potential threats. Technicians started their work immediately to repair the damaged railway in order to resume the train traffic. Egypt has been hit by a string of deadly blasts claiming hundreds of lives, mostly among security personnel since the ousting of former president Mohamed Morsi in July 2013.
