King of Bahrain, Hamad bin Isa al-Khalifa expressed Thursday his thanks and appreciation to President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi for his kind invitation to participate in the inauguration ceremony of the new Suez Canal, Al Bawaba News reported. The Bahraini monarch offered his sincere congratulations to the leadership and people of Egypt on this great and historic achievement, according to a statement issued by the Bahrain Embassy in Cairo. The statement read that the new canal project is for Egypt's future generations and became possible thanks to the vision of a wise leader represented in Al Sisi. The Bahraini monarch also praised the positive role and active participation of Egypt in the Arab coalition known as "storm of resolve", which is the largest military and political alliance among the Arab countries that combats terrorism in the Arab region. The King concluded his statement by saying: "I ask God Almighty to reconcile President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi to preserve Egypt. May God bless that country and preserve safety and security of its people. I invite the president to visit the Kingdom of Bahrain at the opportune moment for him."
