The Cairo criminal court resumes Sunday the espionage case of ousted president Mohamed Morsi and 10 co-defendants, al-Bawaba News reported. The defendants face charges of leaking secret documents and reports on the Egyptian army to Qatar through the Qatari TV channel, Al Jazeera. Whilst the Giza Criminal Court will issue its verdict Sunday against 26 defendants of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB), including the former leader Mahmoud Amer, over the arson of Awsim police station in Giza, following the dispersal of Rabaa and Nahda sit-ins in August 2013. Defendants face charges of joining terrorist organization, possessing unlicensed weapons, attempting to storm a police station, and attempting to kill its officers.
