Cairo Appeal Court for Urgent Matters decided Saturday to ban all leagues of soccer fans "Ultras" across the nation, Youm7 News reported. The court has considered the ultras as terrorist groups, accusing them of rioting, setting fire to the Headquarters of Egyptian Football Association, storming Zamalek sports club and attempting to kill its chairman. The lawsuit against the ultras is filed by the chairman of Zamalek club, Mortada Mansour, who accused ultras of attempting to kill him, and joining the terrorist organization of the Muslim Brotherhood. Cairo Court for Urgent Matters has dismissed Mansour's lawsuit against the ultras, but he appealed against the court's verdict. Egyptian Football Association has upheld the court's decision to ban the ultras, considering as the first step of restoring stability in stadiums, and may open the door for regaining cheerers in matches again.
