Algerian security forces arrested Saturday two Tunisian nationals at Annaba Airport, northeastern of the capital city of Algeria, suspected to be affiliates of the Islamic State (IS) terrorist organization, according to the Algerian Al-Khabar newspaper. The detainees, who used fake identity cards, were on a flight heading for Istanbul, the newspaper added. According to international reports, Tunisians make the majority of IS militants, with approximate numbers ranging between 2500 and 3000. They move to Syria and Iraq via Libya or turkey. Tunisian authorities have thwarted 12.000 Tunisian nationals from moving to terrorist hotbeds in Syria and Iraq since 2013 , Tunisian Interior Minister, Nagem Gharsly revealed earlier in April.
