Egyptian courts will resume Sunday the trials of Muslim Brotherhood terrorist group (MB) and Jihadi groups' members over terror related charges, Al Bawaba News reported. Cairo Military court will try 33 defendants over charges of inciting violence in the case publicly known as ‘Suez security directorate events.' Clashes between security forces and protestors took place February 2012 following the ‘Port Said massacre,' where 74 of Al Ahly Club fans –a prominent football club- were killed. Cairo criminal court, headed by Judge Mohamed Sherine Fahmy will try 68 defendants in the case publicly known as ‘Al Zawahry terrorist cell,' over charges of founding and running a terrorist cell, targeting Christians, churches, military forces and institutions. Supreme Security Court (SCC) extended the detention of 50 defendants pending investigation and issued an arrest warrant against 18 fugitive defendants. Sidi Beshr court in Alexandria will try 10 MBs for inciting violence and vandalism during the 3rd anniversary of January 25, 2011 uprising. Giza criminal court will try 73 MBs and Jihadists for burning down Kerdasa church August 14, 2013 in the case publicly known as ‘Kerdasa Police Station events,' where 11 officers and soldiers were killed. Several Muslim Brotherhood leaders and supporters have been tried over terror related charges following the ouster of President Mohamed Morsi amid mass protests July 2013.
