Bishop Stephanos Shehata of the Samallout Archbishopric said Friday that unidentified militants attacked Virgin Mary Church in Minya. Shehata added that the militants targeted the church by Molotov cocktails, causing damages to it, as well as burning a car. Security forces were deployed to the scene to investigate and secure the area. Earlier Friday, Muslim Brotherhood terrorist group's supporters organized demonstrations in Minya against the construction of a church in the governorate in memory of the 21 Egyptian Copts beheaded by Islamic State jihadist group in Libya.
