“The Colorful Lure of India”, a photography exhibition by Egyptian photographer Boulos Isaac. The exhibition will feature a collection of photographs on the many facets of India's culture, customs, and landscapes.
Isaac is specialized in monuments and artifacts photography since 2005. He is a photography instructor for hobbyists since 1995 and at Nikon School of Photography, Egypt. He has contributed in several projects with World monuments Fund, Musée Sans Frontières, The AUC Press and Saint Marc Foundation. He is the photographer of “The Treasures of Islamic Art in the Museums of Cairo” and “The Treasures of Coptic Art” published by AUC Press

“When Art Becomes Liberty: The Egyptian Surrealists (1938-1965),”an international touring exhibition organized by Sharjah Art Foundation, the Ministry of Culture, Sector of Fine Arts and the American University in Cairo. The exhibitionfocuses on the evolution of the Egyptian Surrealist group and their relationship with their Western and international counterparts. It alsodocuments a pivotal chapter of modernism in Egypt that spans from the late 1930's to the early 1960's and highlights the multifaceted aspects of modernity and its global interconnectedness in the 20th century.More than 150 works have been brought together, many for the first time, including substantial loans from important Egyptian public and private collections that have never before been toured outside of the country(closing29 October).

“HANDS ON: Crafts in “The City of the Dead” exhibition unveils works of Italian artist Paolo Peroni. He creatively explores how between the natural world and produced object, the human intermediary continuously self-develops. His art expresses an intense reflection and conveys intuitive concepts on the tensions between the individual, the group, and the external environment, and on urban development as a continuing need to destroy in order to rebuild. His residency is supported by the Italian Cultural Institute in Cairo (closing 4 November).
