Cute winter hairstyles
Published in Al-Ahram Weekly on 25 - 10 - 2016

The start of a new season is the perfect time to update your hairstyle. However, the main trends for hairstyles this winter are the same as last year — natural looks and no extravagant or artificial designs.
Wet-effect hairstyles remain on-trend, even though they mostly suit the summer. New designs such as layered haircuts for long hair, medium hair and short hair are also trendy this season. But if you want to look different this winter, you can add some bangs to your hairstyle for a more attractive and flattering look.
Once again designers have turned their attention to the inborn beauty that each woman bears within and have underlined the most creative looks.
From a boyish take on a pretty pixie style to long layers and ‘60s bangs, here are some of the cuts everyone will be asking for this winter
Side swept hairstyles:
From the vivid centre-parting tendency of the previous season, there has been a clear shift to off-centred hairstyles and to deep side-partings this winter. This tendency is applicable not only for loose hairstyles, but also for updos, ponytails and wavy hairstyles as well.
Updo hairstyles:
This season updo hairstyles are not very complicated, and you do not need to go to a professional hairstylist to have them done. All you need is to have long hair that is in the mainstream and the skills to make a simple French twist.
Wet-effect hairstyles:
These are still one of the mainstream looks. They had a sensational comeback last year and are still popular this winter, helping to keep you in the limelight.
Layered with side bangs:
Layered styles with side bangs can make your hair more manageable and keep long strands away from your face. Long layered styles can look perfect on many occasions, and if you have a round face a long layered hairstyle can look great on you since it can make your face look longer.
Layered for thin hair:
Layered haircuts can improve your look if you have thin hair since they can add volume. To create a different impression around your face, create asymmetrical bangs. Also try adding highlights to your layered haircut as these can also improve your appearance.
