Waiting for Godot, starring Waleed Hammad, Nezar Al-Derazi, Jason Will and Maria Doyle, is an absurdist play in which two characters, Vladimir and Estragon, wait endlessly and in vain for the arrival of someone named Godot. Godot's absence, as well as numerous other aspects of the play, have led to many interpretations since the play's premiere. Written by Samuel Beckett, it was voted the most important English language play of the 20th century. The play is directed by Mustafa Khalil, stage managed by Habiba Makhlouf, lighting designed by Omar Madkour, assistant director Kenzy Abdel Aziz and assistant stage managers Zeina Al-Barkouky and Mary Aravanis. The play, in English, runs for 1 hour and 45 minutes with an intermission of 10 minutes.
