The Emirati film Theeb was released yesterday in Cairo to be screened at Zawya art house and Wonderland cinema this week. The film is directed by Naji Abu Nowar, set during World War I where Theeb is living with his Bedouin tribe when his brother is expected to venture the desert. The film won the FIPRESCI award at Abu Dhabi Film Festival last year, the Venice Horizons Award at Venice Film Festival and the Jury Prize for Best Cinematography and Artistic Direction at Cairo International Film Festival.
