Al Chiati began his music career at the young age of 11, playing guitar in the bands Uss w Laz2 and Bandetta before transitioning to electronic music. 8% (Egypt), a shaabi collective made up of musicians Oka, Ortega, and Shehta Karika, with DJ Shaawaza, 8% began performing their distinct genre of music at weddings before bursting onto the scene. A mix of electronic music, hip hop, and reggaeton elements, fused with traditional tabla beats, today it is one of the most innovative and infectious music scenes around. (UK) GOLDIEROCKS, (Sam Hall) is an international DJ and broadcaster. Her weekly global radio show ‘The Selector' reaches 39 countries with over four million dedicated listeners, including Cairo. Hall is the newest voice to BBC Radio 1 she also hosts a late night show ‘Selector After Dark'. Goldierocks was Last FM TV's festival anchor for 2012; awards include Best Radio Show at International Radio Festival (Zurich, 2011) and Best Regularly Scheduled Music Program- New York Festival (2011).
