In front of more than 80,000 fans at Met Life Stadium in New Jersey, WrestleMania kicked off last Sunday night (early morning in Cairo). The biggest pay-per-view of the year was also aired all over the world from east to west and north to south. Egypt was one of those countries where WrestleMania got much attention. The show kicked off with a much anticipated match between the unfamiliar team of Randy Orton, Sheamus, and Big Show vs. The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns). The undefeated Shield was dominated for most of the match by the other team but it was obvious that Orton, Sheamus, and Show had problems being on the same page. This heat between the three partners led The Shield to victory as they speared the legal man Orton for the three counts. The Shield remained undefeated while Orton and Sheamus ended up getting knocked out by the Big Show before he left the ring. “High techniques but a hesitated team (refereeing to Orton, Show, and Sheamus)” Shrief Sobhi, an Egyptian WWE fan, commented on the first match. The second match is best described as “clash of the titans” or “battle of the behemoths”. The huge muscled Ryback faced the world's strongest man Mark Henry. It marked a classic match between two powerhouses typical WWE old school style. In the match both powerhouses showed off their powers. Although Mark Henry dominated most of the match, Ryback succeeded in lifting the 400-plus pounds on his shoulders but he failed to maintain that and fell on his head for the three count. Henry's win was less than what he wanted as he attempted to hurt Ryback more after the match. In return, Ryback countered the world's strongest man's attack and lifted him for the finisher leaving him high and dry inside the WWE ring. “Ryback… beaten but unbeatable” Sobhi commented on the match. “That was one huge match” Ahmed Ali, another fan, expressed his pleasure of watching the two big men go head to head. Then it was time for team Hell No (Kane and Daniel Bryan) vs Big E. Langston in his in-ring debut and Dolph Ziggler for the tag team championship. In a similar scene to that of last year's WrestleMania, AJ Lee, Ziggler's girlfriend kissed him good luck before the match just for him to turn around and receive a kick followed by a pin attempt from Daniel Bryan, Lee's ex-boyfriend, who lost at last year's WrestleMania in the exact same way. It was then time for Big E. Langston to show off his power as he dominated team Hell No half-way through the match. That was not enough though to stop the unlikely team of Kane and Bryan from retaining their belts, notwithstanding the cheating attempts of Ziggler with the help of Lee. Team Hell No emerged victorious as Mohamed Essam cheered them on after the match on Facebook with their famous chant “Yes! Yes! Yes!” The fourth match was between Fandango, who made his in-ring debut also at WrestleMania just like Langston, against the veteran and WWE future hall of famer, Chris Jericho. The feud between the two was built on a mispronounciation of Fandango's name by Jericho which went on to a state of disrespect between the two followed by a strike and counter-strike period. All that built up to their WrestleMania clash. It all had to come to an end and it did in the favour of the dancer Fandango despite Jericho's domination at the start of the match. Fandango came back and busted the experienced man on his way to getting his first ever win in his first ever match. That match hadn't pleased the fans as Aya Salah expressed dismay at Fandango's win over “her favourite superstar”. Mohamed Abdullah was also displeased with Jericho's loss, saying “Giving such a performance he didn't deserve to leave a loser.” The “Real American” Jack Swagger then faced Alberto Del Rio for the World Heavyweight Championship. The storyline between both was built on racist ideas that swagger tried to promote about “Unreal Americans” who try to come to his country and ruin it, referring to immigrants. Del Rio defends those being one of them and took on Swagger at the stage of WrestleMania. In the match, momentum shifted between both men until Del Rio secured the victory using his famous cross-arm-breaker submission move to retain his championship. It was in the eyes of young Egyptian men another very technical match. That was shown in their comments as Mohamed Nasr said “Both superstars are so high when it comes to submission techniques.” With that entire aside, it was then time for the, The Undertaker, who had never lost at WrestleMania. The Deadman held a streak of 20-0 going into this year's WrestleMania which his opponent CM Punk promised to end. The rivalry between both superstars heated up when Punk disrespected the memory of the late Paul Bearer the historic manager for Undertaker. The match was again another classic WrestleMania match “Undertaker style”. Despite all of Punk's attempts to pin The Phenom he couldn't do what the legendary likes of Shawn Michaels, Triple H, and Ric Flair failed to do on the showcase of the immortals. With his famous tombstone, Undertaker got Punk flat on his back for the three counts. “The streak goes on 21-0,” Mohamed Hazem praised the winner. Moving to another huge match, Triple H went head to head with Brock Lesner. With Mr. WrestlMania, Shawn Michaels, in Triple H's corner and Paul Haymen in Lesner's and added excitement was guaranteed. The match did not disappoint as it was clearly a war between the two. Steel chairs, steel stairs, and sledgehammers were used by both superstars on the other. Michaels used his sweet-chin-music on Haymen as he tried to help Lesner and Triple H's famous Sledgehammer ended the battle to his side. “That was such a legendary match,” Sobhi who kept following the show commented. It was then time for the main event and on the biggest stage of them all it couldn't get any bigger. Two of the most popular superstars in the history of WWE faced off for the WWE Championship. The WWE Champion and famous Hollywood star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson battled John Cena for the second WrestleMania in a row. Momentum shifted back and forth between the two superstars. The two megastars took the show to another level as they brought it to each other. After innumberable finishers from both men, Cena claimed the championship defeating The Rock and getting his most awaited redemption as he said he would before the show. Despite so, following the match, the two icons shook hands in a sign of respect for the great match they just had and for each other. Sobhi added, “It was a match for history”. Not that anyone could argue with that. Ali Ehab said he first didn't want to see a rematch “but that was just amazing!” he said.
