The most recent demonstration of excellence at crafting bronze sculptures by Mustafa Abdel-Moity are currently on show at Zamalek Art gallery. A professor of painting at Alexandria Faculty of Fine Arts, Abdel-Moity spent more than 50 years in the world of creative sculpting producing a number of paintings using his very own motifs and symbols. He transformed most of the subjects depicted in his paintings into pieces of sculpture displayed for the first time in this exhibition. His bronze sculptures reflect a more deep and more beautiful sense than the paintings. His sculptures are inspired by the abstraction of the Pharaonic statues and his experience with bronze sculptures developed to reach the stage of the 3D impressing the audience with a collection of unique sculptures. He always believed that art is a vision not a style. Since the 1960s, the artist experienced a wide range of art mediums — painting, drawing, pottery, graphic and sculpture. The exhibition is running through 12 March.
