A selfie of US President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden went viral when the White House posted it on its various social media accounts last night. Biden used the selfie as his first post for a newly-created Instagram account, accompanied with a caption that read: "Found a friend to join my first selfie on Instagram." Both officials are shown tilting their heads towards one another and flashing big smiles, prompting many to lament their lack of access to Obama's dental plans. Selfies, however, are not new to Obama. He posed for a group selfie with British Prime Minister David Cameron and Denmark's Prime Minister Helle Thorning Schmidt during the memorial service for departed South African president Nelson Mandela in Johannesburg. Another selfie taken with Red Sox baseball player David Ortiz resulted in controversy for Samsung Electronics' commercial dissemination of the photo as Ortiz has an endorsement deal with the company. http://english.ahram.org.eg/News/99256.aspx
