City breezed past Cardiff 4-2 to pass the 100-goal mark this season in all competitions after just 34 matches, dumping the visitors to last place. Edin Dzeko's opener for City required approval by goal-line technology. Third-place Chelsea hosts Manchester United on Sunday. Crystal Palace climbed off the bottom by beating Stoke 1-0 and there were also wins for Newcastle and Norwich. Sunderland came from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Southampton.
