Ahly-bound forward Mohamed Nagy 'Gedo', who is on loan at English Premier League newly-promoted side Hull City, will undergo a foot injury that will sideline him for up to three months, the Egyptian club said on Saturday. "Gedo will go under the knife on Monday ... it is estimated that he will be out of action for up to three months," Ahly said in a brief statement on their official website. The 28-year-old made an instant impact after joining Hull on a six-month loan deal last January, scoring five Championship (second division) goals in 12 appearances to play a key role in helping the Tigers seal Premier League promotion. He missed Saturday's crucial 2-2 draw at Cardiff City, which lifted Hull to the elite competition, due to the foot complaint. It remains to be seen whether Hull coach Steve Bruce will pursue his interest in signing Gedo on a permanent basis following the injury. Gedo, best known for scoring five goals to help Egypt win the 2010 African Cup of Nations, will miss the Pharaohs' World Cup qualifying games against Zimbabwe and Mozambique next month.
