Without the leading of Portuguese coach Jorvan Vieira, Zamalek first football team returned to training on Sunday after 48 hours rest within preparation for the Egyptian Premier League start. Zamalek coach Vieira is currently in Portugal spending a four-day vacation after the 1-0 win over Yemen national team in a friendly last Thursday. Ten players from Zamalek squad didn't join Sunday's training. "Ahmed El-Shennawy, Hamada Tolba, Salah Soliman, Mohamed Abdel-Shafi, Omar Gaber, Nour El-Sayed, Ibrahim Salah, Mohamed Ibrahim, Islam Awad and Ahmed Gaafar didn't take part in Zamalek's training." The Cairo giants are training to prepare the players for the start on the Egyptian Premier League that has been suspended since 1 February when 72 Ahly fans died and hundreds were injured following clashes with rivals Masry in Port Said stadium. Egyptian Football Association (EFA) board announced that the 2012-2013 league season will start on 15 December after holding a meeting with representatives of Premier League clubs last week.
