Thousands of Ahly's hardcore fans (Ultras Ahlawy) march on the presidential palace in Cairo to demand football season start only after justice is served in case of Port Said stadium victims Thousands of Ultras Ahlawy are rallying at the presidential palace on Thursday evening to continue their protests against the resumption ofdomestic football , and demand the president interfere in the in the case. The group first gathered in the northern district of Heliopolis in front of the Panorama of 6 October museum before marching on the palace two kilometers away. The Ahly hard core fans have been demanding that all domestic football activities be postponed untill "justice is served" for the victims of the Port Said tragedy. Last year's football season was called-off after more than 70 from Ahly's fans were killed and hundreds were injured after Masry's fans stormed the pitch of Port Said stadium in a match league last February. The Ultras insisted on their rejection of league resumption by storming the Egyptian football association headquarters on Wednesday 5 September, just one day after the Egyptian Football Association announced the new season could start mid-month. The group stormed Ahly's Headquarters in Guezira and Madinet Nasr a total of three times. Under pressure, the EFA officials and the Sports minister postponed the new season till 17 October but this was also rejected by the Ultras. Ultras are also expected to join protests for revolution demands at Tahrir on Friday.
