Ivorian Salomon Kalou expressed his delight with being part of the French team Lille, adding that he will do his best to establish there. The 28-year-old midfielder signed a four-year contract with Lille last week, when the European Champions Chelsea released the player after six years. "I am delighted to play in Lille and discovering the first league. For me Lille was the best choice in France. I watched several matches of the team's in 2010 -2011 when they clinched the double (League-Cup) and I am impressed by the team's performance," Kalou was quoted as saying by French magazine France Football. "I will do my best to reserve a place in the squad. I want to make history in Ligue 1 and help the club to win more titles." The French team, which won the double in 2011, ended its adventure in Ligue 1's last season in third place.
