Ceramica Cleopatra signed Maqassa striker Bassem Morsi for three seasons while Masry signed defender Eslam Gamal from Talae El-Geish to boost their squads ahead of the new season of the Egyptian Premier League. The Egyptian Premier League teams are in a race to sign new players to be ready for the start of the new season that kicks off on 25 October. "Morsi underwent medical tests before signing contracts with the team and he will join the team's trainings within preparations for the start of the season," read a statement on Ceramica Cleopatra official website early on Friday. The financial details of the deal have not been disclosed. The 29-year-old Morsi started his football career with Egyptian team Petrojet in the 2012 season then he joined El-Entag El-Harby in 2013 before wearing Zamalek's jersey in 2014 where he played 99 games, scoring 35 goals with the Whites. He joined Maqassa in the 2021 season, scoring nine goals in 22 appearances with the team. On the other side, Egyptian Premier League black horse Masry announced the signing of veteran Talae El-Geish defender Eslam Gamal for three years after the player passed medical tests with the team on Friday. The 32-year-old Gamal started his football career with Talae El-Geish in the 2010 season before joining Zamalek in 2014, where he helped claim the 2015 Egyptian Premier League, then he joined Ismaily on loan in 2016 and Petrojet in 2016. He rejoined Talae El-Geish in the 2018 season. Ceramica Cleopatra finished the last season of the Egyptian Premier League in 10th place with 39 points, while Masry came fifth with 50 points.
