An Egyptian security and diplomatic delegation have arrived at Mitiga International Airport in Libya's capital of Tripoli, Al-Arabiya Breaking reported. The delegation includes an assistant foreign minister and deputy chief of the General Intelligence Service (GIS). According to Libyan reports, the delegation will meet with leaders from the Government of National Accord (GNA) led by Fayez El-Sarraj. The visit comes a week after chief of GIS Abbas Kamel visited Benghazi, where he held a meeting with the commander of the Libyan National Army (LNA) Khalifa Haftar and Libyan Speaker Aguila Saleh. During his visit, he conveyed a message of support from President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi to the Libyan people on various military and political levels. The visit also comes a day after Turkish Defence Minister Hulusi Akar travelled to Libya in an unscheduled visit, flanked by top military officers, the official Anadolu news agency reported. The visit came after Libyan Commander Khalifa Haftar called on Libyan National Army (LNA) to "drive out" Turkish forces backing the UN-backed GNA.
