WE Online Music Festival (3 May- 3 July)
WE Online Music Festival is a live streamed festival organised by WE Telecom company in cooperation with CNL Music.
The concerts begin at 10pm, live-streamed on WE Telecom's YouTube channel.
The upcoming line-up includes the following bands:
Fri 15 May: Double bill
Egyptian songwriter, singer and guitaristAida El Ayoubi
HOH band consisting of three well-known musicians from independent bands, Hany Adel (Wust El-Balad), Ousso Lotfy (Nagham Masry) and Hany El Dakkak (Massar Egbari).
Tues 19 May:Triple bill
Sheikh Ehab Younis performs religious chants.
Al Hadra band performing Sufi music.
Al Mawlawyah Al-Masrya, the Egyptian Sufi band, led by Sufi chanter Amer Eltony.
Sun 24 May: Taking place on the first day of Eid, the concert's line-up is a surprise to the listeners.
Mon 25 May: Egyptian band Disco Misr performing oriental sounds with a twist of disco and funk.
Tues 26 May: Double bill
A concert features two of Egypt's top rappers Wegz and Marwan Moussa.

Cairo Contemporary Dance Centre
The Cairo Contemporary Dance Centre (CCDC) has decided to offer free online classes to encourage everyone to stay active at home. Classes vary between Contemporary Dance, Barre, Floor Barre, Yoga, Breakdance, Movement and Exercise, Pilates, Ballet, and nutrition advises. You can find all the classes on the CCDC's Youtube channel.


Goethe Institute
The Institute provides online technical presentations and discussions under theUn / Controlled Gestuers project. The Institute offers its Facebook page as a digital platform for eight young choreographers from 10 to 21 May. To display parts of the dance performances they have directed during their artistic stay in Rabat, Cairo and Tunisia as part of the Un / Controlled Gestuers project on the topic of self-exploration. Young choreographers will discuss their shows with skilled and professional dramaturgy choreographers from the Arab region, North Africa and Europe.

At 11am, short clips of shows are shown on Facebook, followed by discussions on the same day at 8pm live on the following days:
Thurs 14 May: Manal Tass (Casablanca) talks about her solo show “Koboul” (Accepting) in a meeting and discussion with choreographer Malak Sebaei (Tunisia) in English.
Sat 16 May: Mohamed Issaoui (Tunisia) talks about working on the “Steps” show in a meeting with dancer and choreographer Mohamed Bin Fouri (Brussels) in French.
Monday 18 May: Amar Al Qady (Alexandria) shows her show “Displacement” in a meeting and discussion with choreographer Malak Sebaei (Tunisia).
Tues 19 May: Sahar Aldamoni talks about the solo show “Eat Banana and Drink pills” in a meeting and discussion with dramaturgy expert and artistic value Najma Haj Ben Shalaby (Brussels) in English.
Wed 20 May: Islam Elnebishy (Cairo) displays “Forbidden! Go back to your seat, please!” in a meeting and discussion with dancer and choreographer Mohamed Bin Fouri (Brussels) in English.
Thurs 21 May: Said El Haddaji presents the dance quartet “Screaming” in a meeting and discussion with dramaturgy expert Najma Haj Ben Shalaby (Brussels) in French.


Studio Emad Eddin Foundation
The studio has announced a new online workshop programme called “Studio from Home”, designed to run throughout the month of Ramadan while most people practice self-isolation. The three workshops are “The Small Dances Project” with Florence Moutin-Cornille, “Monologue Acting for Beginners” with Mary Aravanis, and “Costume Design for the Stage” presented by Nermine Said on their Facebook pagewww.facebook.com/StudioEmadEddin.
“The Small Dances” project aims to inspire body-awareness by exploring the body's relationship to imagination and developing its stamina and flexibility. The sessions also encourage participants to discover different areas of the body that can be used for self-expression through small dances in limited space. The workshop is a month long, with sessions airing every Wednesday from 29 April till 22 May.

Pro Helvetia Cairo
In this quarantine period, Alias Contemporary Dance Companywould like to revisit with you some of the highlights of their existence by sharing several of their video archives. Five recordings of shows and one short film will be broadcast live on their YouTube channel on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 8pm (local Swiss time).
