The cultural center in the middle of the city, Darb 1718, launches a new building named "New Annex" within its area. The space is built to host workshops, exhibition space, performance arts and an artist residency. The first exhibition to take place there will be "Khadra" where a group of female artists from the same generation show works discussing social, political, psychological and political visions. Darb 1718 is a non-profit art center which placed itself in the middle of Cairo's artisans area, and supported them with their craft while giving the opportunity for other artists across all releams to participate.
