Equatorial Guinea side Cano Sport will face Egyptian giants and record eight-time winners Ahly in the African Champions League second round after overcoming Ethiopia's Mekelle in the preliminary stage. Cano Sport held Mekelle to a 1-1 away draw in the second leg on Sunday to go through with a 3-2 aggregate win. They will host Ahly in the first leg mid-September while the return leg will take place in Egypt two weeks later. Ahly reached the second round after thumping Atlabara of South Soudan 13-0 on aggregate (4-0 and 9-0). Established in 2014, Cano Sport won the Equatorial Guinean league last season. Meanwhile, Senegalese side Generation foot will face Ahly's Cairo rivals Zamalek in the same round after overcoming LPRC Oilers of Liberia 3-1 on aggregate in the preliminary round. Zamalek went through with an emphatic 13-0 aggregate win, crushing Somalia's Dekadaha 7-0 in the first leg and 6-0 in the second.
