2019 World Swimming Championships: Egypt's Osman, Khalafallah to compete in 50m events

Egyptian female swimmer Farida Osman is set to participate at her third event in the 2019 World Swimming Championships in Gwangju competing in the women's 50m butterfly, her best discipline.
Osman, the 2017 best African female athlete, will be swimming in heat 5.
The 24-year old Osman has already competed in the 100m freestyle and 100m butterfly but failed to qualify for the semi-finals.
Ali Khalafalla is set to compete in his second event as he will start in heat 14 of the men's 50m freestyle.
The Egyptian team will compete in the men's 4x200 freestyle relay in heat 3.

In the women's 100m freestyle, Farida Osman failed to reach the semi finals after finishing 28th in the overall heats ranking timing 54.93 seconds on Thursday.
In the men's 100m freestyle, Ali Khalafalla finished 1st of his heat 10th and 26th in the overall heats ranking timing 49.22 seconds on Wednesday.
In the men's 200m Medley, Mohamed Samy finished 5th of his heat 3 and 32nd in the overall heats ranking timing 2:02.57 minutes on Wednesday.
In the men's 50m breaststroke, Youssef El-Kamash finished 24th in the heats timing 27.62 seconds on Tuesday.
In the men's 800m freestyle, Marwan El-Kamash finished 26th in the heats timing 8:07.97 minutes on Tuesday.
In the men's 100m backstroke, Samy finished 39th in the overall heats ranking timing 55.87 seconds on Monday.
In the men's 50m butterfly, Abdel-Rahman Sameh qualified for the semifinals after finishing 15th in the heats timing 23.54 seconds on Sunday. Later on Sunday, he recorded 23.68 in the semis to finish at the 16th place.
In the men's 100m breaststroke, Youssef El-Kamash finished 31st in the heats timing 1:01.24 minutes on Sunday.
In the women's 100m butterfly, Farida Osman ranked 17th in the heats timing 58.43 seconds on Sunday.
In the men's 400m freestly, Marwan El-Kamash finished 23rd in the heats timing 3:52.21 minutes on Sunday.
