Egypt manager Hector Cuper looked upbeat following Friday's World Cup draw in Moscow, where the Pharaohs were paired with hosts Russia, Uruguay and Saudi Arabia in Group A. In an interview with satellite TV channel ON Sport in Moscow, the Argentinean boss expressed his content with the draw which he described as neither difficult nor easy. "The draw is good, can't quite say it is an easy or a difficult draw," Cuper said. "When we made a quick assessment of all the probabilities after the draw, we found that we could have been paired with other teams that would've made our mission more difficult. "We are optimistic, and usually ask ourselves why not qualify for the next round? We have total confidence in our work and in our ability to perform well. "The order of the group games is quite good. We have big ambitions in the World Cup. When asked about which teams he would prefer to meet in upcoming friendly games in preparation for the World Cup, Cuper said he would be looking to play against sides from South America. "I hope we would face nations from Latin America in our upcoming friendlies since we will be playing Uruguay in our first group game," the ex-Valencia boss added. "We could also be looking to play against European teams as well." (For more sports news and updates, follow Ahram Online Sports on Twitter at @AO_Sports and on Facebook at AhramOnlineSports.)
