CSKA Moscow gave Anzhi Makhachkala a large home defeat 5-3 on Sunday in the 28th matchday of the Russian Premier League, to stay on course for the top of the table. Cameroon striker Samuel Eto'o broke the deadlock after just four minutes to convert Anzhi's domination and increasing his tally of goals to four in seven games. The visitors responded strongly, with five consecutive goals through Seydou Doumbia (24, 46, 80), Vagner Love (62) and Alan Dzagoev (82). Jan Holenda netted twice, late in the 86th and 90th minute, but that wasn't enough to rescue his team. Anzhi are eighth in the table, while CSKA Moscow are second, two points behind leaders Zenit St Petersburg.
