Though September may technically be the beginning of fall, in Egypt it is still the hot, sunny summer, with temperatures ranging from 33 to 35 during the day. 1 Dress for the weather Choose light, loose fitting clothes made of cotton, flax or any fabric that breaths. 2 Protect your head Wear a hat or use an umbrella to protect your head from headaches or sunstroke. 3 Sunglasses Wear sunglasses that provide protection against UVB and UVA rays. 4 Avoid direct sun exposure It is best to avoid direct sunlight in the peak hours between 11am and 3pm. 5 Stay hydrated Before you go out drink lots of water, and keep a bottle with you at all times. 6 Apply sunscreen Apply your sunscreen at least 15 minutes before going out in the sun, and reapply frequently.
