Egypt's current wave of hot weather is expected to continue this weekend, with temperatures well over 40 degrees Celsius in several governorates. On Friday, temperatures in Cairo are forecast to peak at 43C, MENA agency quoted meteorologists as sayng. The low will be 30 degrees. The coastal city of Alexandria will see less fierce heat, with a high of 37C and a low of 25C expected. Temperatures in Hurghada and Sharm El-Sheikh, two of Egypt's most popular Red Sea beach resorts, will be among the hottest in the country, with highs of 45C and 44C respectively and lows of 29-30C. The souther cities of Luxor and Aswan will see no milder weather, with highs expected to hit 45C and 46C. Saturday will also see searing temperatures, with similar highs and lows predicted countrywide.
