Two were killed and three injured this morning following a gunfire exchange in Kafr Shokr, Qaliobeya delta governorate between a group of thugs and runaway inmates. The police arrived later but couldn't arrest any of them, according to security sources. The clash saw the lawbreakers block the Banha-Mansoura highway by setting tires on fire in the middle of the road. It turned out that the assailants were fighting each other after a group of them wanted to force their dominance in El-Monshaa El-Sagira village, which angered the other group. Apart from using firearms, both sides threw molotov cocktails at each other, much to the horror of the village's residents. By the time the police arrived, the thugs had already escaped. Afterwards, central security personnel secured the entrances and exits of the village in an attempt to avoid escalations.
