A police conscript was injured when a bomb went off near a police station in 6 October city just oustide Cairo on Friday, an official statement by the interior ministry read. The blast took place while a group of ministry personnel was passing by to inspect the security conditions around the police station. Civil defence forces and a bomb squad arrived at the scene to comb the area for more explosives, a security source told MENA. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the bombing.
