Defending champion Sevilla were drawn to play Fiorentina, where Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah has excelled in recent months, in the Europa League semifinals on Friday. Egyptian ace Salah, who moved to Fiorentina on loan from Chelsea in the winter transfer window, has shown scintillating form with the Italian side, scoring seven goals in 15 appearances in all competitions. On Thursday the 22-year-old excelled to help Fiorentina to a 2-0 home win over Ukraine's Dynamo Kyiv that took them to the Europa League semi-final with a 3-1 aggregate victory. Spanish club Sevilla could become the first to win a fourth UEFA Cup or Europa League title. In the other semifinal, Napoli will be at home first against Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk. Dnipro plays its home games in Kiev because UEFA judged Dnipropetrovsk unsafe to host matches during the conflict with pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine. The first legs will be played on 7 May, with the return matches on 14 May. The final will be played on 27 May at the National Stadium in Warsaw, Poland. For the first time, the Europa League winner will also earn a place in the group stage of the Champions League next season.
