Senegal coach Alain Giresse wants English Premier League side West Ham sanctioned for preventing striker Diafra Sakho from joining the national team. The Senegalese striker didn't join the Teranga Lions during the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations after he was declared earlier this month injured for six weeks by his team. However, Sakho played with the Hammers on Sunday and scored the winner against Bristol in the FA Cup 1-0. "We will get to that later but I am surprised to see him playing. When you cannot take the plane for six weeks but you can play a game … There may be a miraculous medicine in England …" the Frenchman was quoted as saying on France Football. West Ham refused to let Sakho join Senegal ahead of the Nations Cup finals, even for medicals, claiming it is dangerous for him to take a flight. "If these facts are faced with silence it would be serious. We would be facing a lot of players who can play football but cannot travel, the subject needs to be debated later," he added. The 25-year old striker has been a key player for West Ham since joining them last summer from French side Metz. He has been the team's top scorer with 8 goals in 14 league games in addition to his latest decisive contribution during the FA Cup. Sakho, who was also eligible to play for the French national team based on his dual citizenship, has made his debut for Senegal in May 2014 and only featured in three international games scoring only once.
