South Africa will take on Mali in a friendly match in Gabon on Wednesday amid preparations for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations. South Africa were held to a 1-1 draw against African Cup title holders Cameroon on Saturday. The draw extended the Bafana Bafana unbeaten record under coach Shakes Mashaba to nine games. Mali and South Africa have met each other three times before and Bafana team will be searching for its first win over the Eagles who finished in third place at both the 2012 and 2013 AFCON tournaments. South Africa were drawn in Group C alongside Algeria, Ghana and Senegal, while Mali were paired in Group D with Ivory Coast, Guinea and Cameroon.
