Ethiopia striker Saladin Said could make his first Egyptian Premier League appearance with Ahly when they face Wadi Degla in Cairo on Saturday, having recovered from a calf injury that raised doubts over his fitness. The 26-year-old, who joined Ahly on a free transfer last summer after his contract with Wadi Degla expired, has recently laughed off suggestions that he is suffering from a chronic injury. The lanky frontman has made just one appearance with Ahly, featuring in their Egyptian Super Cup win against arch-rivals Zamalek after penalty shootout. He started the game in September before being replaced with 16 minutes remaining after picking up the calf injury which has sidelined him since. Said's inclusion in Ahly's squad for the rescheduled Wadi Degla game gives coach Juan Garrido more options upfront, especially with striking duo Emad Meteb and Ahmed Abdel-Zaher misfiring and main forward Amr Gamal nursing a serious knee injury.
