Egypt's state grain buyer, the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC), said on Wednesday it was confident all Russian wheat import contracts would be honoured and that it would continue to include Russia as an origin in its import tenders. Sources told Reuters on Tuesday that Russia's Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance Service (VPSS) had restricted grain export certificates for some countries but Egypt, Turkey and Armenia were still allowed to receive Russia's grain. "We were one of the countries exempted from the restrictions by Russia and so it doesn't affect us," Mamdouh Abdel Fattah, vice chairman of GASC told Reuters. "We will continue to include Russia as an origin of course," he said. http://english.ahram.org.eg/News/118178.aspx
