French President Francois Hollande says he supports a potential Paris bid to host the 2024 Olympics. Hollande said in a television interview on Thursday night: ''I am favorable if the city of Paris decides to present its candidacy.'' He listed the advantages of hosting the Olympics, including the ''fervor'' it would create and the jobs it would generate. Hollande also noted that Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo has been reticent about a bid without rejecting the idea. The mayor, a Socialist like Hollande, called a news conference for later Friday to discuss the Olympics. Paris, which hosted the 1924 Olympics, mounted failed bids for the 1992, 2008 and 2012 Games.
