Qatar's Emir Hamad bin Kahlifa Al Thani in Cairo today Egyptian ministers and leading figures from the ruling military council meet with Qatari monarch to discuss ways to strengthen ties and economic cooperation
Field Marshal Hussein Tantawi, head of the ruling Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, met today with Qatar's Emir Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani who is currently visiting Egypt. Discussions included regional and international developments and ways to bolster Egyptian-Qatari relations. Out of the possible avenues, several economic and development joint programmes aimed at supporting the Egyptian economy were proposed. The Emir confirmed his country's committment to joint cooperation, as did Tantawi. The meetings were attended by Sami Enan, vice president of the military council, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Fayza Abul Naga, Minister of Finance Samir Radwan, Foreign Minister Nabil El-Arabi and other officials.
