Zamalek coach blames referee, stadium condition for Al-Hilal loss
Zamalek coach Hossam Hassan believes the stadium grounds and referee's decisions affected his players performance during the 2-1 loss to Al-Hilal of Sudan

After losing 2-1 to Al-Hilal of Sudan in the last match-day of the CAF Champions League group stage, Zamalek's coach Hossam Hassan has confirmed that the players did their best during the game but that the stadium's poor condition and referee's wrong decisions affected them.
An in-form Bakri Al-Madina proved to be a defensive nightmare for Zamalek as he scored a goal and set up another in Al-Hilal's 2-1 victory over the Egyptians on Friday in the African Champions League.
Both teams, Zamalek and Al-Hilal have been eliminated from the CAF Champions League group stage after placing 4th and 3rd in Group A respectively.
"We played on asphalt not industrial grass and that affected the player's performance during the game," the Zamalek coach told Sudanese reporters after the game.
"We also suffered wrong decisions from the referee during the game," Hassan added.
