Ibrahim Hamata, a 41-year-old Egyptian who lost both hands in an accident when he was ten, was invited to the table tennis world championships in Japan

The International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF), under the leadership of President Adham Sharara, invited an extraordinary Egyptian player to be an honoured guest at the World Team Table Tennis Championship in Japan.
Ibrahim Hamata, a 41-year-old man who lost both hands in an accident when he was ten, never lost his passion for sports.
"After I had an accident when I was ten, I tried to hold the racket under my armpit but failed. Three year later, I started to learn how to use my mouth but back then I was only able to hit the ball across the net," Hamato said on a video posted on the ITTF official website on Friday.
Hamato said he feels a sense of achievement after each game and hopes one day to become a world champion.
“I hope to become better and better; nothing is impossible," he noted.
Hamato thanked the ITTF for the invitation and expressed pleasure at playing with several world champions. He played against world number 9 Japan's Jun Mizutani, former World Champion China's Wang Hao and the legendary Belarusian Vladimir Samsonov.
The largest tournament in ITTF history was held from 28 April until 5 May. There were144 men's teams and 95 women's teams.##
